All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa. There are three visa subclasses commonly granted for short travel to Australia to attend a conference. Each visa has distinct parametres, applications, processing times and prices. To find out more about these visa types, and to apply, follow the links below:

Letter of invitation

Your letter of invitation to the Conference should accompany your visa applications. This invitation will be issued automatically upon registering. If you don’t receive your letter, contact the Conference Secretariat at registrations@iclrcoro2024.com.

What to expect when entering Australia

You may not be able to enter Australia if you don’t meet health and character requirements. In some cases you may be asked to provide your biometrics.

More information on entering Australia is available on the Department of Home Affairs website.

Travelling from Aotearoa/New Zealand or Norfolk Island

Exceptions are in place for New Zealand passport holders, who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements. Permanent residents of Norfolk Island may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival.
